Introduction to The Dagger
The Dagger is a rundown old barn of a building. Jaina owns the place, a quirk of a recent chance encounter that she refuses to discuss. At the moment, she's in need of money, so she's running a shoddy sort of motel in the place. The barricade-walls are flimsy and the beer only mediocre, but the price is right. Besides, who knew the woman could turn out such good burgers?

Come on in. Order a drink or rent a room by the hour. It's your call. Just remember that the Dagger has had a bizarre past, so be on your toes.

Zara entered the Dagger with Zaraish grace. Namely falling flat on her face. The vornskrs padded in over her and pretended not to know her.

"Traitors," She grumbled as she got up and brushed herself off.

"So! How be you, Queen Cashew?"

"Queen of burger flipping maybe," Jaina grinned asshe did exactly that.

"I'm doing okay, or I wouldbe if it weren't for this junker of a place." Punctuatingher statement by pounding the table made a cupboard door fallto the dirty floor.

"Nice," Zara commenteddryly.

"Yeah." With that Jaina flipped somemostly raw meat in the vornskrs' direction. "You want one?They're still pink inside, just how I like 'em."

"Nah," Zara said, plonking herself on a more sturdycupboard-now-chair-for-Sith.

"I like my meat welldone, or not cooked at all." She grinned, watching thevornskrs tear into the meat happily. She played with her haira bit and looked around.

"This place is junkierthan the Falcon," She snorted.

"I think I'll choose to take that as a compliment. If that's possible," Jaina added quickly. "But you're right. If this thing had a hyperdrive it would be forever broken." She kicked the cupboard door as she spoke. "Um, yeah. So you'll excuse me if I eat my burger now, and keep cooking yours to well done."

"Damn junkheap's been half demolished again." Jaina cursed under her breath. "It might make a cute clubhouse for some kids, but he's not gonna fly again without some extensive repairs. Ones I can't really afford right now.

"Anyway, I think I'll chow down while my meat's still warm. So what've you been up to lately, oh favourite niece of mine?" Immediately Jaina bit into her barely cooked hamburger and grinned. "Nice and bloody, just how I like it." She glanced at Zara and took a seat on the customers' side of the bar. "You were saying?"

Zara blinked and whistled innocently. The vornskrs decided now would be a good time to start chasing those rats.

"Me??? Ohhh...nothing...nope....haven't been doing much at all," She said quickly searching for a change of subject.

Jaina chuckled. "Something you want to tell me, peanut? You can tell your aunt anything, you know. Well, except that you're becoming a vampire of your own free will. That, I would have a severe problem with. You're not, are you?"

"No!"

Exasperated, Jaina shot back, "Well what then? Behave or you eat your hamburger pink! So speaks your all- er, some-powerful aunty Jaina!"

"Lunzie! I was wondering when you would get here." Jaina grinned at her favourite -- okay, her only -- sister. "Burgers are on the grill. They're getting well done because someone (she nudged her head towards Zara) wanted them that way. If you want some medium rare, I'd be happy to oblige.

"But what have you been up to?" Hastily wiping off a barstool with her forearm, Jaina motioned for Lunzie to sit. "Oh, it's so good to have familiar faces around here for a change! I'd begun to think I was all alone here."

Oh good.
Zara was VERY grateful when Lunzie came in. Now she wouldn't have to tell about what she'd been up to. Some things were just a little too weird for one to share even with one's family.

"Hey Aunt Lunzie," Zara said. Then the cupboard she was sitting on finally gave way and she fell into it. She looked up at the two women somewhat dazed.

"Uhh...ouch?"

Its a little known fact but . . .
Foxxes are almost always hungry . . so while wandering about a place which she didn't quite recognize though she was sure that that tree looked familiar so she wasn't lost, Foxx never gets lost, jut misdirected. The smell of meat cooking was a wonderful comfort to her soul . . so she'd followed it and apparently there was not only meat there was alchol as well . . . God bless the spirit that induces people to build bars in the middle of nowhere.

Walking in to spot familiar faces she grinned "Hello . . Food Please . . "

She struggled out and then fell flat on her face again. She grumbled and pulled herself up then walked over to Jaina.

"How're those burgers coming?"

Glancing from Zara to the grill, Jaina's face fell. "Um, you like yours well done, I hope?"

Lunzie looked as well. "That's not well done. That's ash!"

"Shaddup," Jaina growled to her sister. "Hey Foxx, you're welcome to anything you like to eat or drink here -- same goes for anyone who comes in the door. Only I need the money so I can fix up this rattrap and sell it, so please pay."

"There aren't any rats that I see, Aunt Jaina. Perhaps they're afraid to be in here?"

"Smart rats," grumbled Lunzie.

Zara grinned at the charcoaled burger. She snapped it up and was chewing on it happily as everyone stared at her as if she'd gone completely dotty.

"What?" She said in between mouthfuls, "It's just how I like it!"

I already knew rats were smart. So I just grined and looked at the meat . . "Uhm .. If you have enough lettuce and tomato and ketchup and mayo and fresh onion that could be eatable". I randomly poked a finger into teh dust on teh bar like thing . . Well it wasn't as bad as a krycek place . .

"My offer to help clean this place up still stands. Heck, I'll even keep it open if you ever decide to leave. It's been a while since I was a bartender."

"Hello?" Sahana called as she stepped into the room. Seeing the group of various peoples she grinned and checked out what there was to eat. Staring momentarily at the hamburgers/charcoal, she gulped.

"Do you have any sandwiches?" she asked, then stared at Zara. "Zara, honestly, how can you EAT that stuff?"
